Description:

Dithiothreitol is a common reducing agent, also called DTT, which has a strong reducibility. Its reducibility is largely

due to the conformational stability of the six membered ring (containing disulfide bond) in its oxidation state. The

reduction force is affected by pH value, and can only play a reduction role when pH value is greater than 7. This is

because only the deprotonized thiol anion (- S -) has the reaction activity, while mercaptan (- SH) has no activity,

while mercaptol PKA is generally ~ 8.3.

Application:

DTT can effectively reduce protein disulfide bond in sample buffer; DTT can also be used to reduce crosslinker n,

N ‘- bis (Bing Xixian) cysteamine two sulfur bond bridge is used to decompose the polyacrylamide gel matrix; in

protein sequence analysis, it is used to remove two sulphide connections; used for investigating the increased and

dynamic reduction reaction; and prevents the oxidation reaction occurring when extracting cholecystil peptides

from brain and duodenum tissue.
