Description:

White or light yellow powder, odorless, slightly salty, with hygroscopic property. Extremely soluble

in water, easily soluble in methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol, very slightly soluble in anhydrous

ethanol, insoluble in acetone, chloroform or benzene.

Application:

Sulbacillin sodium is a broad-spectrum semi synthetic penicillin antibiotic. Its action mechanism and

antibacterial spectrum are similar to that of carboxybenzylpenicillin, but it has a slightly stronger effect

on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and its efficacy is better than that of

carboxybenzylpenicillin, it is better than ampicillin for resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and it is more

stable for β – lactamase than ampicillin and carboxybenzylpenicillin.
