Introduction of R600a

R600a is an encellent new type of hydrocarbon refrigerant. It is extracted from natural ingredients, won’t damage the ozone layer, no greenhouse effect.It is green and environmental.

Characteristic

It is characterized by large latent heat of vaporization, strong cooling capacity, good flow performance, low transmission pressure, low power consumption and slow load temperature rise. It is compatible with all kinds of compressor lubricating oil. It is colorless at room temperature, and transform into colorless transparent liquid under its own pressure.

Usage

Mainly used for ultra-low temperature refrigerant.The refrigeration system composed with R22 is used for -120 ~ -80℃ cryogenic refrigeration unit .It is also used as foaming agent for foamed plastics, and is substitute for R12.

Health Hazard

Central nervous system depression ranging from dizziness and incoordination to anesthesia and respiratory arrest, depending on concentration and extent of inhalation.  Irregular heartbeat is rare but is a dangerous complication at anesthetic levels.

Fire Hazard

EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE.  Will be easily ignited by heat, sparks or flames. Will form explosive mixtures with air.  Vapors from liquefied gas are initially heavier than air and spread along ground.  CAUTION:  Hydrogen (UN1049), Deuterium (UN1957), Hydrogen, refrigerated liquid (UN1966) and Methane (UN1971) are lighter than air and will rise.  Hydrogen and Deuterium fires are difficult to detect since they burn with an invisible flame.  Use an alternate method of detection (thermal camera, broom handle, etc.) Vapors may travel to source of ignition and flash back.  Cylinders exposed to fire may vent and release flammable gas through pressure relief devices.  Containers may explode when heated.   Ruptured cylinders may rocket.

Storage

R600a refrigerant cylinder is a pressure vessel and flammable, it should keep away from fire, heat, avoid direct sunlight, usually store in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse.You should be lightly armed, light unloading, cylinders and valves and other accessories to prevent breakage when handling.
