Hydroxypropyl starch ether(HPS) is a kind of irregular flake white powder, avirulent,

insipid, soluble in cold water, forming a transparent or translucent viscous liquid. It has

the ability of thickening, adhesion, dispersion, emulsion, suspension and water retaining.

HPS can be used as building materials of adhesive, coating or organic liquid gels. 

Physical Properties 

Stable to acid, alkali, lower than the original starch gelatinization temperature, cold and hot

viscosity changes from the original starch and stability. Mixed with salt, sugar, etc for viscosity

has no effect. After etherification, freeze-thaw stability and transparency were improved.

Advantages and application
